Thank you to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children and the Cleveland Gladiators for a wonderful event!  A special thanks to ALL the volunteers that came out to this amazing event.

Executive Director Nathan Mumford of the Karen E. Mumford Cancer Foundation tours and speaks on the NEW University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center of Cleveland Ohio.

The Karen E. Mumford Cancer Foundation had its 2nd Annual Karen Cares day this summer.  The foundation took 15 women with cancer from Northeast Ohio and gave them a day of pampering.  Thank you to Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, A-1 Mr. Limo, Brown Aveda Institute, and The Flying Fig restaurant, for all the help and love on making this day a memorable one for everyone who participated.

Healthy Spaces is a community project that will utilize the interior design skills of students at VMCAD and assist patients in need through KEM Cancer Foundation. The mission is to design living spaces that will inspire cancer patients and ease the burden of their illness. The design team, along with volunteers, will produce a room makeover that will include interior cleaning, space organization, fresh paint, new furniture, refurbishing existing pieces, updating fabrics and bedding, and displaying custom artwork. The 2011 Healthy Spaces project is an extended hand to encourage patients through their recovery in hopes of leading a healthy and happy cancer-free life.  Here are pictures from the start of the project.  Special Thanks go out to Cleveland Indians players pitcher Rafael Perez and catcher Carlos Santana for coming out to support this project.  Black & White photos by Todd H.
