Nathan Mumford (KEM Cancer Foundation) traveled to New York City to visit a cancer patient who just had a transplant. Mr. Mumford also visited the National Cord Blood Program located at the New York Blood Center. He received a tour of the facility and also met with Pablo Rubinstein, MD, who is the director of the cord blood program. After leaving NYC, Nathan landed in Washington DC with the Cleveland Cord Blood Center. Memebers of the Cleveland Cord Blood Center (Dr. Mary Laughlin and David Clements) and Mr. Mumford spoke with 8 different congressmen and women about cancer issues. It was a great week for the KEM Cancer Foundation.
